Ich komme nicht von hier (2006) was installed on opposite sides of the Rhine River during Art Basel 37 and related my experience of urban wildlife as artist-in-residence. In Switzerland, species are categorised and known, with signposts warning of regular sightings along the river walkways. In contrast, I felt that one is more likely to have informal and surprising encounters with nonhuman species in a less regimented environment.

I resided in Basel from April to June 2006, hosted by IAAB, the Christoph-Merian Stiftung and Pro-Helvetia.
